Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound skirt steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce (low-sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (as a mirin substitute)
  • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss skirt steak strips with a little oil and place them in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 8-10 minutes until browned.
  3. In a separate bowl, coat broccoli florets with canola oil and add them to the air fryer after removing the beef. Cook for another 6-8 minutes until tender.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, whisk together water, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, red pepper flakes (if using), and cornstarch until smooth. Microwave for about 1 minute until thickened.
  5. Combine cooked beef and broccoli in a large bowl and pour the teriyaki sauce over them, tossing gently to coat.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with optional sesame seeds.
