Ingredients
- 1 lb steak sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 lb pasta shells
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- Cajun seasoning (to taste)
- Minced garlic (to taste)
Instructions
- Season steak bites with Cajun seasoning and let rest for 15 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sear steak bites for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. Remove and set aside.
- Boil pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan, and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in cheeses until melted and combined, then add drained pasta and steak bites back into the skillet, mixing thoroughly. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
