Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz penne or rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb thinly sliced flank steak or sirloin
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • Optional: ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt, black pepper, smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the thinly sliced steak for about 2–3 minutes per side until browned; remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced bell pepper and onion for about 4–5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Lower heat to medium; add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet, stirring well.
  5. Mix in softened cream cheese until smooth; then return the cooked steak back into the skillet.
  6. Fold in the cooked pasta and half of the provolone cheese until everything is well-coated.
  7. Top with remaining provolone and optional mozzarella cheese. Cover and cook for about 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes until bubbly.
