  • 12 oz Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
Chicken
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast diced into 1-inch pieces
Oils and Sauces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt for Brussels sprouts
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt for chicken

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Trim the stems off Brussels sprouts and cut them in half lengthwise. Toss in a bowl with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Place seasoned Brussels sprouts in air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes until starting to brown and crisp at the edges.
  3. While Brussels sprouts cook, dice chicken breast into uniform 1-inch pieces. Toss with chili oil, then add ground ginger, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  4. After Brussels sprouts have cooked for 10 minutes, open air fryer and add seasoned chicken pieces. Gently stir everything together.
  5. Continue air frying at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through. Chicken is done when internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Drizzle sweet chili sauce over cooked chicken and Brussels sprouts and toss to coat. For extra caramelization, air fry for 1-2 more minutes. Serve immediately.
